Why I became a breeder

Hi! My name is Nitya! I grew up in Hawaii riding horses and spending my free time surfing and hiking. I adopted my mothers love and compassion for all of Gods creatures big and small. I am a writer, a professional equine photographer, horse trainer and HVAC professional. I live on 5 acres with my extended human and dog family. I love the connection I have with my dogs and the families I meet.

Since a teenager I’ve wanted to be a breeder of Yorkies and have since added IGYs after meeting a local breeder where I fell in love with the breed. Working with local rescues and AKC events, I am able to meet a lot of animals lovers and also engage in friendly dog competitions, showing in conformation and agility trails like Fastcat and Dockdiving. Some of my best friends are all animal lovers.

My program is near and dear to my heart for my exceptional lineage and pedigree I am able to display in my animals. I do extensive health testing and have tested my patience to it’s limits in waiting for the perfect pup to be added to my program from other lines and breeders I admire. I stick closely to breed standard and look first and foremost at temperament in what should be the perfect dog.

Why buy from a breeder?

Choosing to buy a dog from a responsible breeder offers numerous advantages, foremost among them being the assurance of a well-bred, healthy companion. Reputable breeders prioritize the overall well-being of their dogs, carefully selecting breeding pairs based on health, temperament, and adherence to breed standards. This meticulous approach helps mitigate the risk of genetic disorders and ensures a predictable and desirable set of traits in the offspring. Furthermore, responsible breeders provide invaluable support and guidance throughout the dog's life, offering advice on training, health care, and behavioral concerns. Purchasing from a breeder also allows prospective owners to gain insights into the dog's lineage, facilitating a better understanding of the pet's background and potential future needs. Ultimately, buying from a responsible breeder not only secures a loving and well-cared-for companion but also contributes to the perpetuation of ethical breeding practices, promoting the betterment of specific breeds and fostering a positive impact on the canine community.
